Susan Loucks presents "What If? A Planning Tool for the Big Unknowns"

"With so much upheaval, how can nonprofits possibly prepare for the future? Scenario planning is a tool that allows nonprofits to create quick pictures of what the world might look like, based on a few key variables, which allows for proactive, thoughtful responses to what actually emerges. We'll try this tool ourselves, and leave knowing how to bring it to our own teams."

About Susan Loucks:

I've worked with nonprofits since 2000 and as a consultant and trainer since 2012, including 2 years with the Human and Institutional Development Forum in Bengaluru, India, and 5.5 years with the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA.
Past clients cover a wide diversity of sectors including the environment, coalitions, human services, faith-based organizations, health, education, history, and more. Some past clients include ICCo India, The Children's Home of Pittsburgh, Cividep, OTC Services, the Pennsylvania Council of Churches, and Allegheny Cleanways.
Certifications include Grassroots Development and Nonprofit Management, Appreciative Inquiry, and Community Mediation. I've completed a 10-week Leadership program with Sociocracy for All.

I love the buzz of an engaged room, aha moments, prefigurative politics, facing tricky subjects with both compassion and realism, ampersands, & using a fresh set of flip chart markers.
